Sunita Anand Rao
 

She is an artist working in Mumbai, India, for many years & has had solo shows as well as participated in many group shows, both in Mumbai and Delhi.

She holds a masters degree in fine arts.

Her early works were mostly landscapes, still-life and floral representations mostly on canvas. Later her style changed towards figurative, incorporated with prints and more recently design.

The figures mostly display feelings of passion, peace, joy and sensuality. She has experimented and practiced different techniques and mediums like oil, acrylics, watercolours and tempera. She has been greatly influenced by Matisse, Van Gogh and Paul Gaugin and more recently Robert Kushner’s collages. Love for poetry and form drove her towards William Blake.
